Jacobs Project Manager: Zero-Emissions Transportation in Greenville, South Carolina

In our transportation work, we develop and implement innovative solutions to move people and goods safely and efficiently across the globe. As part of this vision, Jacobs is leading the charge on transportation decarbonization within our Transportation team.

Large-scale adoption of zero-emissions technology is still in its early stages, and presents significant technical, organizational, and logistical challenges for our clients. Zero-emissions fleet adoption and infrastructure enhancements require detailed planning, multi-disciplinary collaboration, significant financial resources, and motivated staff to support successful execution.

Jacobs is expanding our team to tackle the complexities of decarbonization for some of the largest transportation operators in the world.

We are looking for an experienced and collaborative Project Manager who thrives when people are in sync and projects are running on time and within budget. Based in the Southeast of the United States, you’ll be working on exciting and engaging projects focused on zero-emissions transportation. You will be engaging with our existing transportation decarbonization portfolio, as well as supporting pursuits for new work.

You will be one of the company’s key contacts with clients and you’ll assure overall work progress and technical performance on projects. You will contribute to and manage teams in the completion of work tasks, including the strategic planning, design, and implementation of projects for our clients with a focus on zero-emissions transportation. You will also support the development and pursuit of new opportunities in this growing market space.

Our project delivery leadership and other senior project manager /operations leaders will clear the way for your inventive thinking and exploration, so you have the support, means and space to deliver solutions for our clients. As a passionate leader, you will leverage your mentorship skills to support our emerging talent to grow and develop our team.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field

• Previous professional experience in engineering or construction management for a consulting engineering firm, transportation agency, or other firms of project delivery in the charge management ecosystem.

• Ability to see and make connections within a large organization

• Excellent communication, time management and writing skills

• Great mentorship and leadership skills

Ideally, you'll also have:

• Familiarity with zero-emissions transportation technology and its impacts on traditional transportation operations is a plus

• Project implementation experience for electric vehicle charging infrastructure is a plus

• Experience working in a client facing role is preferred
