Summary About the Position: This is a military technician position with the 81st Readiness Division, Reserve Personnel Advisory Center Greenville, Satellite, SC014 located in Greenville, SC. Description of the Working Environment: Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Responsibilities Process, audit and edit complex pay actions. Review military pay transactions and reports to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Train others on the use of automated systems. Provide technical expertise to supported Soldiers. Research and analyze a variety of information sources for personnel requirements Establish and maintain files pertaining to personnel, finance and administrative activities Provide responses to complex pay complaints and issues. Develop statistical material and reports. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This is a Military Technician position with the US Army Reserves. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Fundamentals and Operations of Military and Civilian Pay Oral Communication Personnel Action Processing and Recordkeeping Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education For this job, you must meet the qualifications requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Two year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
