Jacobs Building Mechanical Intern (target start summer 2025) in Greenville, South Carolina

Our Specialized Manufacturing team is looking for interns with an interest in mechanical building systems to join us in their hub locations of Appleton, WI, Greenville, SC, or Pittsburgh, PA.

As an intern on our team you will be involved in state-of-the-art facilities projects--focused on HVAC, Plumbing/Utilities, and fire protection. Supporting our multi-discplinary team of engineers, architects, and designers, you’ll be mentored and guided through your internship. Building on your coursework and school projects you will gain exposure to project coordination, relevant computer-assisted engineering software, data collection and so much more.

  • Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program for Mechanical Engineering or another closely related field

  • Interest in designing building mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping utilities, for buildings and facilities.

  • Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both in person and in writing

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Previous internship experience with a design/consulting firm or manufacturing company

  • Familiarity with Revit or other 3D software
