HYG is looking for an energetic team member to join our Aftermarket Applications IT group. Tech Specialist III is a mid-level position in the Technical Specialist family. The Aftermarket Applications Technical Specialist will:

  • Drive for architectural fit, global consistency, efficiency and continuous improvement of technologies that sustain and promote IT excellence

  • Work with the Business and IT Analysts to complete work as assigned, including implementation of process improvement projects as well as maintaining and enhancing existing systems

  • Convert business requirements to solutions, follow project management and other development procedures, and provide specialized applications technical expertise

  • Examples include software development, programming, and leveraging systems tools.

The Tech Specialist III Will Provide the Following Key Accountabilities:

  • In area of technical specialty, install, develop, monitor, troubleshoot and support systems. Ensure services and solutions are efficient and customer friendly.

  • Follow established department standards for consistency, cost effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

  • Improve existing processes and capabilities as directed by the manager. Suggest ideas for improvement.

  • With limited assistance of manager, manage own work tasks and communicate work activities. Provide development of specifications and project task planning.

  • Provide timely assistance to team members in resolving issues during crisis situations. Communicate regularly and provide mutual assistance with other technology groups.

  • Technical work deliverables (install, monitor, repair, specifications, software development, assessment, implementation, problem definition, problem resolution, development of specifications and work plans)

  • Recommendations in area of technical specialty, continuous improvement of processes, ideas to better serve our customers through the use of technology

  • Requires a desire to automate manual tasks with new technology as well as aging technology

The Successful Tech Specialist III Will Meet the Following Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in IT related field

  • 3 years’ experience; can include education time with explanation

  • Application administration experience

  • Knowledge of scripting; any language on any platform

  • Exposure to C#.Net

  • Experience with Source Control, any platform

  • Exposure to CSS/XML

  • Basic SQL Query skills

The following qualities are not required but are considered a plus:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Professional Certifications

  • DOS/PowerShell scripting

  • VBA/JavaScript experience

  • Web Designer experience

  • IIS Administration experience

  • C# Console Application Development

  • C#/ASP.Net Web Development

  • TSQL experience

  • C# WCF Web Service experience

  • Advanced background in troubleshooting existing applications (any platform)

  • Xamarin Development / Mobile Development

  • iSeries basic understanding / navigation skills

  • iSeries CL / RPG programming experience

  • Experience working with Outlook EWS & MAPI

  • Experience with SSIS 2008R2 or more current

  • SixSigma project methodology experience

  • Agile experience
