Department Overview
Crandells Enterprises Inc (CEI) is North Carolinas #1 group home health care company. The Paraprofessional (Paraprofessional) is part of the health care team in Pitt County and Wake County. The Paraprofessional provides direct or general care to mental health patients from admission through discharge under the direction of a supervisory Qualified Professional (QP) and within the parameters of the state licensing board. The Paraprofessional assists the patient, patients' families, staff and other support staff to assure the delivery of safe, quality care in alignment with the mission and vision of CEI.

- Greenville, NC/Pitt County and Raleigh/Durham
- Schedules: 8 hour shifts on days or nights, as well as some mid shifts available. Please apply to discuss scheduling.
- Shifts: 1st, 7a-3p; 2nd, 3p-11p; 3rd, 11p-7a (ONLY 2ND aand 3RD SHIFT AVAILABLE)

- Assist mental health patient(s ) with management of residents care plan, scheduling of services, medication
- Provide any and all direct and indirect patient care services including personal care, meal prep, basic hygiene, lifting, dietary support, other personal needs and medical necessities in a group home centered environment
- Complete patient specific Paraprofessional documentation in the patients record related to daily care, medications, behavior, crisis incidents, communication with others, etc.
- Report potential compliance problems as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Model ethical and appropriate behavior, professional standards, compliance, and personal integrity
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
- Clearly and concisely communicate needs of resident and family, changes in residents clinical condition, shift notes, and other issues
Qualifications of Paraprofessional
- High School Diploma or GED minimum education
- Reliable transportation

``` - Six months experience in a health care environment; a t least one year of direct patient care in an in-home setting (Caregiver, Patient Care Assistant PCA, Paraprofessional Paraprofessional, or Home Health Aide HHA) preferred - Ability to react professionally, decisively and quickly based on protocol in emergency situations - Ability to communicate effectively with peers, residents, guardians, medical professionals, and staff - Minimum computer skills (signing in/out, documentation notes, typing) - Nursing Assistant license is a plus but not required
