POSITION SUMMARY

Director of Rehab Services

Summary:

The Pediatric Occupational Therapist is responsible and accountable for providing occupational therapy evaluation and treatment for pediatric patients of Decatur County Memorial Hospital. The Occupational Therapist may direct and supervise patiens who are treated by certified occupational therapy assistants and will comply with all policies and procedures in the Rehab Services Department and Decatur County Memorial Hospital. Job duties include: patient evaluation, reassessment, writing and administering plans of treatment, supervision, and community/patient education.

Work Schedule:

May work 8 to 10-hour days between the hours of 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. On-call and Holiday coverage on a PRN basis. Must be able to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education

Minimum of Bachelor's degree from a college or university with an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Experience

Six months to one year related experience

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.

Must exhibit basic computer knowledge

Certificates & Licenses

Must possess a valid Indiana driver's license and have a good driving record. Current State of Indiana license in Occupational Therapy required. BLS certification also required.

Other Requirements

Eighteen (18) hours of continuing competency are required for each license renewal period. This position requires frequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, crawling, squatting, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying 0-50 lbs and pushing and pulling 0-25 lbs.
