Description We are in search of a detail-oriented Grant Accountant to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and implementing all aspects of grant accounting, including compliance, budget processes, and expenditure. This opportunity is for a contract employment type.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee grant accounting and administration, effectively managing the entire life cycle of a grant

• Utilize Abila MIP and other Accounting Software Systems to maintain accurate financial records

• Ensure compliance with all Federal, Government, and Private Grant guidelines

• Conduct audits as necessary to ensure proper allocation of funds and adherence to grant conditions

• Use your knowledge of Accounting Principles and Procedures to maintain the integrity of financial data

• Prepare and submit grant proposals, leveraging Grant Writing skills to secure funding

• Conduct regular reviews of grant expenditure, ensuring funds are used in accordance with grant stipulations

• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement budget processes

• Use Banner Ads, CapEx, and Concur in the day-to-day execution of grant accounting duties

• Leverage your knowledge of Accounting Systems to ensure seamless financial operations. Requirements • Proficient in Abila MIP and other accounting software systems

• Experience with Banner Ads and CapEx

• Knowledge of Concur and other accounting functions

• Familiarity with auditing, budget processes, and compliance

• Understanding of expenditure, credit granting, and various grant types (Federal, Foundation, Government, Private)

• Proficiency in grant accounting, administration, management, and writing

• Experience with accounting 2000, the accounting close process, and accounting control

• Familiarity with accounting cycle, entries, and guidance literature

• Knowledge of accounting management, operations, principles, and procedures

• Proficient in using accounting systems and understanding accounting theory

• Familiarity with accrual accounting, Adagio Accounting Suite, and asset accounting

• Experience with Big 4 Accounting Firm and carbon accounting

• Knowledge of clinical accounting, commissions accounting, and computerized accounting systems

• Familiarity with construction accounting and corporate accounting

• Proficiency in cost accounting and credit card accounting

• Understanding of derivative accounting, equity accounting, and Financial Accounting Standards Board

• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting, forensic accounting, and full cycle accounting

• Familiarity with fund accounting, GAAP accounting, general accounting, and governmental accounting

• Proficiency in hedge accounting, IFRS accounting, income tax accounting, and intercompany accounting

• Knowledge of international accounting and inventory accounting

• Experience with lease accounting, ledger accounting, managerial accounting, and manufacturing cost accounting

• Proficient in using MS Great Plains Accounting software.
