Job Overview

Responsible for providing financial support and performance analysis to the global/regional operations and plant management teams. The role requires an exceptional business partner to drive actions focused on achieving business goals by influencing and collaborating with colleagues. Key responsibilities include consolidation and analysis of actual results/forecasts/budgets, conducting monthly plant reviews, product/conversion/material productivity analysis, driving freight/inventory reductions, and support the review of capital investments; while promoting, reinforcing and ensuring alignment with corporate policies. The position also requires coordination with the regional/global BU supply chain team.

Responsibilities:

  • A key contributor to the plant strategy by providing financial support and risk analysis

  • Work as business partner with Operations and Product Management.

  • Supporting plant controllers in budgeting, monthly forecasting and month-end reporting

  • Analysis of standard costs and actual production costs and resolution of issues. Cost out calculations and review product cost over time.

  • Drive the financial performance improvements across all operational areas including material spend, labor and overhead

  • Perform analysis and monitoring inventory discrepancies reported in cycle counts, and material usage variances in general.

  • Overseeing costs of the product families during their lifecycle, including savings and margin erosion factors (annual cost & interim cost roll up). It includes review cost center rates / material burden calculation, annual budget review by cost center and management report-out for cost roll during cost roll rounds.

  • Working closely with PM Finance team on margin analysis specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability

  • Support the plant in review of capital investments / savings projects, monthly financial performance and other.

  • Journal entries preparation, among other month-end activities Review and approve savings projects and monitor achievement

  • Floor audits to identify opportunities in footprint optimization and the control of company assets

  • Ad-hoc projects and analysis for Operations and Product management teams.

Non-recurring activities:

  • Participation in annual inventory of raw material.

  • Training rotational employees and practitioners.

What your background should look like:

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Fluency in English required

  • Prior finance experience in general accounting principles and process

  • Good understanding of financial analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, reporting and manufacturing costing

  • University Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.

  • Experience: Min 5+ years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, cost accounting, cost analysis and reporting matters

  • Understanding of financial drivers and their impact within a manufacturing environment

  • Understanding of manufacturing, procurement and other supply chain matters

  • Familiarity with SAP, excel and data manipulation

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $87,000 – 129,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
