Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Greensboro, North Carolina

Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting various financial processes and systems to ensure organizational stability and success. This role will involve financial management duties, overseeing accounting processes, and advising leadership on the organization’s financial status.

Responsibilities:

• Generate accurate and comprehensive financial reports

• Analyze operating trends to assess the organization’s financial health

• Provide oversight and support of various accounting processes

• Oversee the operation and development of financial functions, including the creation and review of policies and procedures

• Implement and maintain robust financial controls

• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliations of bank, investment, and balance sheet accounts

• Develop and manage the budget process

• Assist in the development of a comprehensive business plan

• Advise leadership on the organization’s financial status

• Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Must have a strong background in Accounting Management or Supervision.

• Proficient in preparing and managing Annual Operating Budgets and Annual Budgets.

• Experience working within Nonprofit Organizations is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with Governmental accounting practices and standards.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant computer applications.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.

• Professional accounting certification, such as CPA, is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High ethical standards and professionalism, particularly in handling sensitive financial information.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to supervise a team effectively.

• Proven experience in strategic planning and risk management.

• Strong understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.

• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

• Continual learning and hunger for knowledge in order to keep up with the latest industry trends.

• Excellent interpersonal skills for building and fostering key relationships.

• Strong understanding of regulatory standards within the accounting industry.
