Position: 

We are seeking a talented People and Culture Generalist to join our team.

The People and Culture Generalist runs the daily operations of mul t iple functions of the People and Culture Team. They have a broad range of knowledge and responsibilities throughout the human resources functions and are expected to have strong organization and communication skills —including clear discernment around confidentiality.

    Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for employee onboarding including email, personalized welcome phone call, manager communications, ADP onboarding, scheduling orientation, uniform preparation, and other tasks as needed.

  • Owns the team member orientation process from scheduling, coordinating content, BEO, communicating details to team members and managers, team member check-in, team member enrollment in timeclocks, gathering federal documents, taking photo for ADP, and distribution of uniforms.

  • Serves as an ADP specialist on the P&C team to proactively work on efficient process improvements, improve workflows between P&C and Payroll, and problem solve issues for directors and managers within ADP.

  • Assists the People & Culture Manager as needed to be a witness in employee relations conversations, conduct exit interviews, provide verifications of employment, administering leaves of absence, and other tasks as needed.

  • Assists in enrolling team members in direct deposit, reviewing benefits offerings, and distributing paychecks. Triages questions to Payroll when needed.

  • Serves as an on-property representative, along with the People & Culture Concierge, to help team members with a wide variety of People & Culture related questions.

  • Assists with the implementation of software needed to support the P&C team.

  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all P&C Generalist related functions.

  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.

  • Assists with planning and execution of recruiting and community relations events as needed.

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date files, records, and documentation.

  • Responsible for special projects as needed.

  • Participate in continuous improvement of processes.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Always display hospitality and professionalism to our guests and team members, take pride in representing The Resort at Paws Up professionally with our guests and assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal, ethical, and confidential manner.

  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Resort team members to foster and promote a positive working environment.

  • Always maintain a clean and neat appearance.

  • Perform work in a safe and high-quality manner.

    Looking for team members with:

  • Previous human resources experience, 1-2 years preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (ADP Workforce Now)

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn project management software (Asana)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Valid State Driver’s License with good driving record

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
