Position: 

The Resort at Paws Up is seeking a Landscaper to add to our team. The Landscaping Laborer role assists in performing the mowing, trimming, rock work maintenance, and upkeep of various landscape areas around The Resort at Paws Up.

    Primary Responsibilities:

  • General upkeep of the property and greenspaces including debris and litter cleanup, maintaining pathways and parking areas by keeping grasses and weeds under control, assisting with event site preparation and maintaining glamping areas in accordance with Resort standards

  • Responsible for landscape design, landscape construction, landscape installation, and landscape maintenance and upkeep under direction of Landscape Manager.

  • Assist with installation of new turf, walkways, and landscaped design projects

  • Trim trees and shrubs

  • Clear roofs of debris

  • Perform mowing, mulching, edging, pruning, and other lawn care maintenance duties.

  • Mow lawn areas around The Resort at Paws Up to specifications by operating and using hand and power mowing equipment.

  • Operate various mowers, string trimmers, hand tools and light maintenance equipment to trim around flower beds, trees, bushes, and grass areas.

  • Maintain water features such as ponds, fountains, aerators, or pumps.

  • Work in elevated conditions such as ladders, roofs, bucket trucks or lifts

  • Work in crawl spaces and underground vaults

  • Perform inspections of facilities and grounds and report any situations of concern in an immediate manner.

  • Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment daily

  • Maintain equipment and tools in a good safe working order.

  • Report equipment problems or failure to the Maintenance department and Landscaping Manager.

  • Clean the maintenance areas daily.

  • Assist in aerating, fertilizing, and seeding tasks.

  • Assist with grooming and maintaining activity trails.

  • Assist with pest control on resort grounds.

  • Complete all Landscaping duties as assigned.

    Winter Purpose:

    The Landscape Laborer role assists with trimming, pruning of trees and shrubs alongside snow removal around The Resort at Paws Up.

  • Curling Rink Maintenance

  • Skating Rink Maintenance

  • Snow removal from decks and homes using shovels and snow throwers

  • Maintain walking paths around resorts

  • Trimming pruning Shrubs and Trees

  • Holiday light and decoration put up, take down, and integrity

    Other Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Display hospitality and professionalism to our guests and team members at all times, take pride in representing The Resort at Paws Up professionally with our guests and assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal, ethical, and confidential manner.

  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Resort team members to foster and promote a positive working environment.

  • Always maintain a clean and neat appearance.

  • Perform work in a safe and high-quality manner.

    Looking for team members with:

  • High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work

  • Previous landscaping experience

  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills

  • Valid State Driver’s License
