About our team:

Product Engineering is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for ensuring the design integrity of all products both in production and post-production. The team provides technical expertise to quickly resolve production issues in a just-in-time environment, minimizing downtime and its cascading effects. Additionally, the team is committed to enhancing the end customer’s total cost of ownership by efficiently addressing both in-warranty and out-of-warranty issues. Between model redesigns, Product Engineering also drives feature developments that add continuous value to our products.

About the position:

We’re seeking an Electrical Engineering Technical Specialist to support cable/harness assembly and various electronic assemblies for Engineering Product Development. In this role, you will:

  • Perform repairs, fabrication, modifications, and installations of electrical wiring harnesses, cables, wires, wiring assemblies, fixtures, and associated components.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, schematics, wire lists, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform connector terminal crimping, soldering, cabling, and chassis wiring.
  • Contribute to electrical integration and test activities based on experience and qualifications.
  • Ensure work is completed with accuracy, adherence to prints or work instructions, and attention to detail.
  • Compile, record, and analyze test data to determine conformance to specifications.
  • Communicate recommendations, issues, and risks to engineers and management.
  • Assist engineers in assessing and recommending design modifications.
  • Maintain relevant certifications and stay up to date with industry standards, practices, and procedures.
  • Support change requests and related activities.
  • Assist with procurement and kitting planning in support of product engineering activities.

About the schedule:

This position follows a 1st shift schedule working Monday–Friday.

About you

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering or a closely related Mechanical or Electrical technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineering Technical Specialist.
  • Proficiency in soldering and crimping techniques.
  • Strong understanding of tools and equipment required for electrical assembly.
  • Ability to perform complex wiring tasks with precision.
  • Hands-on experience with various hand tools and test equipment, including:

  • Multimeters

  • Vector network analyzers
  • Copper certification testers
  • Retention testers
  • Basic hand tools
  • Ability to read, interpret, and enforce engineering specifications, policies, and procedures to ensure a high-quality and safe assembly.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute technical tasks while communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

About the total compensation package:

Wage - $26.89 - $34.69 per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
