About our team:

We are an expanding team of Mechanical Engineers. Our team uses traditional engineering techniques such as design, analysis, calculation, test, and evaluation to provide unique solutions specific to customer requests across a wide variety of product models and disciplines.

About the position:

We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Custom Engineering department. This role quotes, designs, develops, and documents custom solutions tailored to specific requests for both new product sales and aftermarket modifications, You will:

  • Develop new designs or makes adaptations and modifications of existing designs based on specific customer requests.
  • Follow existing procedures and guidelines for most decisions.
  • Keep the manager informed of progress, changes, priorities, and project cost/schedule status.
  • Query historical design and configuration data to provide constancy across multiple customer requests.
  • Define assembly bills of materials and component specifications.
  • Verify adherence to functional requirements of custom designs.
  • Ensure that system/component designs comply with company and industrial requirements (UL, CE, etc.).
  • Recommend changes in project direction in response to changing business requirements.
  • Provide support for new product development teams.
  • May have limited direction of others for specific projects or subsets of major programs.
  • May work with interdepartmental teams.
  • May compile project status and assist in presentation to senior management.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude, analytical problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strategic, creative, positive attitude, team-oriented, self-motivated, and critical thinker.
  • Ability to constructively interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Superior attention to detail and standards of quality.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.

It would be great if you had:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Competent in Pro Engineer, and relational databases.
  • Experience with SQL or other query software, eMatrix, JDEdwards, and AutoCAD
  • Experience with product configuration and maintenance of product configurators
  • Previous project management experience

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $65,000 - $90,500 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
