ASRC Federal Holding Company Senior Project Support Specialist - NASA Goddard in Greenbelt, Maryland
ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a Senior Project Support Specialist to support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.
Responsibilities:
Provide front office project support to the Mechanical Systems Division, Code 540. Office management skills are required to fulfill the demands of a fast-paced dynamic office environment as well as a team player for back up support when required.
Provide project support to the Directorate as a member of the ETD Admin Team which focuses on processing Travel Orders/Vouchers and Procurements (PRs) for the entire directorate. Also provides project support to one branch.
Provides leadership, guidance, training, and mentoring to other project support personnel within the Division Office and the Division. Ensures that project support personnel receive policies and procedures pertinent to their duties, disseminating information throughout the Division verbally (via regularly scheduled meetings with Branch Project Support personnel), in writing, or electronically. Prepares agenda for and conducts periodic project support training sessions for all project support personnel within the Division. This includes, but is not limited to training in the areas of correspondence, telephone procedures, publications, directives, reports, etc.
General business/project support, including answering telephones, document preparation and review, filing, scheduling meetings and calendar maintenance, managing phone and email distributions, and office supply maintenance.
Assist in tracking, coordinating, and preparing/submitting responses to action items in the Action Item System.
Travel Orders/Arrangements (domestic, foreign and sponsored) and subsequent expense reports will be processed and tracked through the approval system while being compliant with the Federal Travel Regulations and NASA Travel policies.
Onboarding of new hires and/or visitors will also be badged, managed and tracked in coordination with IDMAX and NAMS.
Conference scheduling and coordination, resolution for calendar conflicts, WebEx/Lync and room set up for various meetings.
Supporting key meetings (e.g., establishing call-in line, taking notes, creating sign-in list).
Generates presentations, charts, graphs, correspondence, spreadsheets and other similar documents relating to the Branch functions and activities.
Orders office and IT supplies in anticipation of business needs using AMMS, ACES and SAP. Obtain SEWP quotes and work with purchasing groups when necessary.
Schedule office moves (phones, computers, office locations, floor plans, moving supplies and service requests).
Records Management (maintain records for required documentation) and Property Custodian (assist in inventory/tracking of branch property).
Other appropriate duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).
Team player with a positive/ can-do attitude at all times.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Exceptional customer service skills, over the phone and in person, with our customers and internal departments.
Proactive, organized, detail-oriented to respond to customer requests and deadlines.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills- ability to interact with all levels of professionals.
Knowledge of GSFC administrative systems, such as eMod, eDAA, IDMAX, and CGE/Concur is highly desirable.
Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-4 years of relevant work experience or 7-8 years in lieu of degree.

This posting is offering a pay range of $61,499 to $92,249 per hour depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.
