Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Green, Ohio

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk based in Green, Ohio. This role involves managing accounts payable tasks in a dynamic work environment. The selected individual will be responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, maintaining vendor records, and handling payment inquiries. This role is a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

• Maintain vendor files to ensure that the payment process is efficient and accurate.

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare analysis of accounts.

• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.

• Resolve invoice discrepancies and handle vendor inquiries.

• Produce monthly reports and assist with month-end closing processes.

• Utilize software skills, including 'Accounts Payable (AP)' and 'MS Great Plains Solomon' to enhance efficiency and accuracy of work.

• Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.

• Collaborate with the team to improve payment processes and reduce inefficiencies.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements • Minimum of one year of experience in an Accounts Payable role

• Proven proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Practical experience with MS Great Plains Solomon software

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in finance or related field is a plus

• Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies

• Comfortable working with numbers and processing financial information.
