Position Summary The Senior Accountant position within the Finance Department provides lead accounting support to Fincantieri Marine Group. Primary accounting responsibilities include, but are not limited to, period-end closing duties, financial reporting and analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. Further, as a senior level associate, this position provides general accounting support for Finance initiatives and projects, as assigned. Domestic travel may be required to the Wisconsin shipyards (Marinette, Sturgeon Bay). Essential Skills and Functions Responsible for period-end closing activities including the accurate preparation of journal entries, intercompany entries and allocations. Complete and record monthly percentage of completion journal entries and ensure that all Construction Contract balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis. Review and maintain balance sheet accruals and reserves on a monthly basis to ensure balances are appropriate. Maintain Balance Sheet integrity through completion of monthly account analysis and reconciliations.
