The following job duties are established to outline the basic duties and responsibilities of the above captioned position. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Performs complex duties, i.e., type documents, correspondence, reports, case file cards utilizing technical terminology and composition skills requiring accuracy and completeness; coordinates and plans project activ Transcribes and types a variety of confidential documents and correspondence. May act as liaison for department with other county offices, agencies, and the public. Establishes and maintains filing systems, pulling files, updating and replacing them as needed. Operates various items of office equipment, which may include a fingerprint scanner, computer terminals, and specialized printing devices. Performs moderately complex accounting work; receives and verifies information from various sources and enters data into ledgers and other records. Prepares statistical reports and produces financial information as directed. Performs essential tasks of other office positions after being cross trained in those positions, when the regular employee is absent due to illness, vacation, or otherwise, when needed.

Required Qualifications Required Education
High School diploma or GED. Or equivalent two years of education/training with course work in office and business practices. Required Experience
Four years of experience in an office setting. Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; and the ability to count, sort, and categorize inventory items. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables, in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to operate telephones, computer terminal, keyboard, photocopier, and printer/scanning instrumentation. Certifications/Licenses required Valid state-issued driver s license

Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
This position is non-exempt from the minimum wage and overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is therefore eligible for overtime pay.
