Robert Half Accounting Manager in Greeley, Colorado

Description We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our team in the Energy/Natural Resources industry located in GREELEY, Colorado. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. The Accounting Manager will be instrumental in managing and maintaining the financial health of our operations, primarily focusing on Joint Interest Billing (JIB) and revenue accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the recording of JIB and revenue

• Utilize Excalibur for various accounting functions

• Manage financial operations for multiple entities

• Prepare financial reports specifically for Oil and Gas (O& G) side of the business

• Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Maintain and manage customer credit records and applications

• Handle and resolve customer inquiries

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting

• Participate in the process of hiring the entire team. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.

• Demonstrated expertise in managing various Accounting Functions is required.

• Experience in Revenue Accounting is crucial for this role.

• Knowledge of Joint Interest Billing (JIB) is necessary.

• Proficiency in using Excalibur software is desired.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are beneficial.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred.

• Strong understanding of the Energy/Natural Resources industry is advantageous.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills are essential.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are important.

• Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends, accounting standards, and regulations is necessary.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion is expected.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is required.

• Proven experience in financial reporting, tax preparation, auditing, and financial analysis is preferred.

• Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation is beneficial.
