    Role Overview: Risk and Claims Coordinator

    As a Risk and Claims Coordinator/Administrative Assistant within the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Department at United Infrastructure Group (UIG), you will play a critical support role in managing risk and claims processes while assisting the HSE team with various administrative tasks. This position is integral to ensuring that the HSE department operates efficiently and effectively, particularly in areas related to risk management, insurance claims, and general administrative duties.

    Typical Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in managing and processing insurance claims related to workplace incidents, property damage, and liability issues.

  • Maintain detailed records of all claims, including documentation, correspondence, and resolution status.

  • Coordinate with insurance carriers, legal teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claims processing.

  • Track and report on claim trends and provide analysis to help identify potential risks and areas for improvement.

  • Support the HSE team in implementing risk mitigation strategies.

  • Provide general administrative support to the HSE department, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.

  • Assist in maintaining and updating HSE documentation, including safety manuals, policies, and procedures.

  • Coordinate HSE training sessions and track employee training records.

  • Prepare and distribute safety communications, including newsletters, bulletins, and alerts.

  • Maintain databases related to HSE activities, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of information.

  • Compile and analyze data related to risk management, claims, and safety incidents.

  • Generate regular reports for management on risk and claims status, safety performance, and compliance.

  • Ensure that all risk and claims documentation is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Support the HSE team in maintaining compliance with industry standards and company policies.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings related to workplace safety and insurance claims.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the HSE department.

    Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred.

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related role, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sectors.

  • Strong organizational abilities with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiar with database management and reporting tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly articulating safety policies and procedures to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.

    Physical Requirements:

  • Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer – administrative duties

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time.

  • Occasional visits to project sites may be required.

    REQUIREMENTS: ALL Applicants must be:

  • 18 years of Age

  • Able to pass a Drug Test

  • Legally Eligible to Work in the US

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsite every workday (driver's license preferred)

  • Willingness to travel for project requirements, including overnight stays, to support various project sites.
