Job Summary

The Assistant Tennis Coach assists the Head Coach in the total administration and coordination of the men’s and women’s tennis programs.

Required Qualification(s)

  • Previous coaching or playing experience.

  • Technical knowledge of the sport of tennis.

  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.

    Desired Qualification(s)

  • Previous coaching experience at the high school or college level.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Current certification in CPR / AED or ability to attain one (provided by the College) prior to start date.

Summary of Essential Functions

Recruiting, conducting practices and off-season conditioning, scheduling games, travel arrangements, fund-raising and other duties as assigned by Director of Athletics.

Proven ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
