WorkSource Oregon Assistant Branch Manager in Grants Pass, Oregon

Primary Purpose: This position partners with Branch Manager to oversee sales and branch operations while assisting in the direct delivery of services to members. Handles daily operational tasks and ensures member service levels are met or exceeded. Leads branch team to deliver consistently high-quality sales and service by attracting new members and deepening relationships with current members. Mitigates branch controls and risk by adhering to required operational processes, standards, and regulations. Responsibilities: - Handles and oversees daily operations of branch, including cash and vault balancing, negotiable items, and audits. - Partners with other business units to resolve member issues or grow member relationships; actively participates in cross-functional meetings. - Maintains a thorough and comprehensive understanding of all retail products and services and sufficient knowledge of all credit union services to make effective referrals to other business lines. - Engages with members by greeting, personalizing interactions, uncovering financial needs, making recommendations for financial services, and providing timely follow-up. - Performs all duties of a Senior Member Service Specialist including but not limited to, explaining saving and checking programs, opens new accounts, IRA\'s, CD\'s, approves checks, addresses members\' problems and concerns, takes loan applications, interviews members, provides disclosures, conducts credit checks, and ensures documentation is complete. - Partners with Branch Manager in developing a team of highly motivated, results-oriented employees through effective leadership practices; ensures adequate staffing levels to maintain efficient team performance. - Trains and develops branch staff to provide high-level, consistent service to members while creating a relationship-based sales and service culture at the branch. - Provides active performance management by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. - Maintains and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. - Understands and complies with federal and state regulations relating to financial products and services as well as NWCU policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). - All other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma/GED equivalent required with 5 years minimum experience in retail financial services, w/ past roles showing a progression of increasing responsibility including leadership and/or mentoring as part of their role. Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred. Credit union experience a plus. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and initiatives for the credit union. Able to be a strong advocate for the branch and credit union products and services. Ability to motivate and develop employees through active performance management coaching, feedback, and mentoring a must.
