Aerotek Robotic Welder Assistant 2nd Shift 26.99/hr in Granite City, Illinois

Job Title: Welder

Location: Granite City, IL

Shift: 4:30pm - 2:30am Monday - Thursday

DIRECT HIRE - $26.99/hr

  • Welders working along side robots that assist with welding (robots are run by engineers)

  • Remove flashing and excess metal from casting, evacuate defects, weld defects, and grind multiple parts of the casting.

  • Grind and chip welds, parting lines, and positive(s) metal from multiple areas of the casting.

  • Run gauges as necessary on all parts of the casting, Inspect castings for visual defects, and record information to the casting via SAP.

  • Prepares/ finishes castings for robotic cell and reviews casting post robotic cell for defects that need to be repaired.

Must be able to pass stick weld test and comfortable learning MIG and TIG welding
