VCA Animal Hospitals Veterinary Technician in Grand Rapids, Michigan

VCA Knapp’s Corner Animal Hospital is searching for a Certified Veterinary Technician to jump aboard our team at our brand-new hospital! Could it be you?

Our new hospital offers a unique opportunity to be a part of something BIG! The development of VCA Knapp’s Corner was centered around two key elements: our patients and our clients. We are building a team who is dedicated to delivering outstanding care to pets and fostering meaningful relationships with pet owners.

Location: 2078 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525

Compensation: $ 20 - $ 24 / hour. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.

Schedule: Full and part-time positions are available! The hospital schedule will be geared toward providing our clients with as much availability as possible.

Skills: The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

  • Physical examinations and patient assessment

  • Anesthesia monitoring

  • Surgical preparation and assisting

  • Dentistry

  • Radiology

  • Laboratory work

  • Venipuncture

  • Catheter placement

  • Pharmacy

  • Patient recovery

  • Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals

Qualifications:

  • Must have a current veterinary technician certification in the state of Michigan or be eligible to transfer/obtain a certification in MI.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

  • Willingness to jump in as needed and collaborate in a team-oriented environment

  • Comfortable asking for help and clarification when needed and eagerness to learn

  • Possess high attention to detail
