We are looking for interns to support our Survey group at our headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Please include your cover letter, resume and college transcripts for review and consideration. ‘Design. Build. Operate.’ an internship at F&V that fits your interests and needs.   As a Land Survey Intern for Fleis & VandenBrink (F&V), you'll be part of a survey field crew performing work on topographic and boundary surveys, and construction stakeouts. You will perform land survey work through the application of surveying principles and practices and use of modern survey equipment. You will operate instrumentation, clear brush, drive stakes, hold chains or rods, record data, prepare sketches and maintain equipment as needed. Ultimately, this position will provide a foundation for further professional development as a land surveyor. Essential Functions: * Acquire practical experience applying knowledge from college courses, learn from industry experts, and collaborate with teams across functional groups and locations. * Develop a robust professional network through social events and interactive activities. * Collaborate closely with a mentor in your discipline to tackle real-world challenges. * Participate in workshops to help foster interpersonal skills within the workplace and prepare students for success in their full-time careers.   Qualifications: * Pursuing Associates or Bachelors in Survey Engineering, Geomatic Engineering, or other related field preferred. * AutoCAD experience or GIS experience. * Prior internship and/or related survey experience preferred. * Proficient in Windows operating system software, i.e. Microsoft office applications. * Valid driver’s license and ability to work at construction sites.     Equal Opportunity Employer
