Our wound healing clinic focuses on healing chronic wounds, which are wounds that do not heal on their own within 30 days. We are committed to partnering with you and providing a customized care plan with the latest technology to ensure we heal your wound as quickly as possible. Our collaborative team approach allows for flexibility in scheduling that best fits into your daily life.

About Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Scope of work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes. The Wound Healing Program supports Grand Rapids and two regional offices, as well as provider support at Blodgett & Butterworth for inpatient consults. Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree Nursing Required upon hire

  • Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years for those who start in this RN role on or after January 1, 2017 (SHGR, PCP)

  • Required Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2016 (SHGR, PCP)

  • Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program Required

  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan Upon Hire required

  • C RT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
