About the team
The Corewell Health (CH) West Adult Vascular Access Team (VAT) is a program of registered nurses specially trained in the ultrasound guidance insertion of vascular access devices. The teams utilizes the Infusion Nurse’s Society (INS) and Michigan Appropriateness Guide to Intravenous Catheters (MAGIC) evidence-based practice standards to determine the most appropriate access for each patient.
