University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a full-time, board eligible/board certified, outpatient radiation oncology focused Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner). • Preferred Experience: Previous Advanced Practice Provider experience

OPPORTUNITY DETAILS:  

• Ability to work closely with a partnering team of specialists encompassing 37+ specialty care and hospital-based service lines
• UMHW uses a team-based approach to health care and APP's are critical members of the team
• The focus of this position is to provide high-quality care directly to patients in the outpatient setting
• Direct patient care of patients with a wide spectrum of oncologic diseases
• Direct care and management in the outpatient setting would include: initiation of evaluation, patient and family education, counseling and support, collaboration with and referrals to other health care providers, and provision of education to nursing staff, students, and the community.
• Comprehensive; multi-disciplinary hematology and oncology service line including network access to subspecialties including but not limited to Medical Oncology, Neuro Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology
• Expansive Cancer Network serving much of the West Michigan region and Lake Michigan shoreline
• Extensive Primary Care referral network
• Full complement of ancillary support staff and programs; Infusion, Care Management, Social Work, Nurse Navigation, Nurse triage, Research, Clinical Trials Laboratory, Pharmacy
• Performs comprehensive evaluation and examination
• Orders, conducts, and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests
