University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a full-time, board eligible/board certified, outpatient radiation oncology focused Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner). Candidate will also need to coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive experience for all patients, families, and staff.

- Preferred Experience: Previous Advanced Practice Provider experience
OPPORTUNITY DETAILS:
- Ability to work closely with a partnering team of specialists encompassing 37+ specialty care and hospital-based service lines
- UMHW uses a team-based approach to health care and APP's are critical members of the team
- The focus of this position is to provide high-quality care directly to patients in the outpatient setting
- Direct patient care of patients with a wide spectrum of oncologic diseases
- Direct care and management in the outpatient setting would include: initiation of evaluation, patient and family education, counseling and support, collaboration with and referrals to other health care providers, and provision of education to nursing staff, students, and the community.
- Comprehensive; multi-disciplinary hematology and oncology service line including network access to subspecialties including but not limited to Medical Oncology, Neuro Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology
- Expansive Cancer Network serving much of the West Michigan region and Lake Michigan shoreline
- Extensive Primary Care referral network
- Full complement of ancillary support staff and programs; Infusion, Care Management, Social Work, Nurse Navigation, Nurse triage, Research, Clinical Trials Laboratory, Pharmacy
- Performs comprehensive evaluation and examination
- Orders, conducts, and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests
