Corewell Health Psychologist - Pediatric Psychology - Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Helen DeVos Children's Hospital is seeking to hire a full-time pediatric psychologist for a 50/50 inpatient and outpatient practice. The ideal candidate would have experience treating eating disorders, specifically ARFID, or sincere interest in expanding their knowledge and skills to treat this patient population. The inpatient portion of this practice includes being part of the multidisciplinary team staffing our new 12-bed pediatric medical psychiatric unit and splitting inpatient consultation liaison needs with our current psychology team. Outpatient practice could be tailored to your areas of interest in addition to treating children with eating disorders. This could include psychological testing, interdisciplinary clinics, and therapy.
Select aspects of this position:
50% of time inpatient with responsibility for:
providing evaluations, individual treatment, family support, and group treatment in the Pediatric Med Psych Unit, developing behavioral treatment plans as needed, and supporting discharge planning
providing consultation liaison services (shared with other inpatient psychologists) on the medical/surgical floors, NICU, or PICU
assisting in program development and protocols for treating specialty populations on the Med Psych Unit, including patients with eating disorders, including ARFID, and others as well
50% outpatient practice tailored to your areas of interest:
providing evaluation and treatment to patients identified with eating disorders
potential to work with interdisciplinary teams to serve special populations of children with various chronic illnesses
conducting outpatient psychological testing and providing therapy services to populations of interest
Provider will be a part of a multidisciplinary team will consist of psychology, psychiatry, pediatric hospitalists, pediatric subspecialists, nursing, social work, rehabilitative therapists, and behavioral health technicians
Opportunity to work remotely on outpatient time if preferred
No nights, weekends, or call requirements
Qualifications
PhD, EdD, PsyD
Licensed Psychologist - State of Michigan (or ability to obtain)
