Lead HVAC Installer - Grand Rapids, MI

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bending, joining, hammering, and cutting sheet metal, as well as fabricating and installing ductwork in new build and renovation commercial buildings. You will work from blueprints to create and install ductwork on-site according to construction documents. This role requires reliable transportation as job sites can be up to 40 miles from Grand Rapids.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC ductwork with precision and efficiency.

• Fabricate ductwork on-site according to blueprints and construction documents.

• Ensure proper installation and functionality of HVAC systems in commercial buildings.

• Drive to job sites within West Michigan, up to 40 miles from Grand Rapids.

• Collaborate with other trades and team members to achieve project goals.

• Maintain and use personal protective equipment (PPE) and basic tool belt.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience installing HVAC ductwork.

• 3-5 years of experience reading blueprints.

• 3-5 years of commercial building experience.

• Reliable transportation to job sites within West Michigan.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of service HVAC systems and controls.

• Ability to troubleshoot problems on existing equipment.

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and duct installation.

• Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and measuring equipment.

• Leadership experience in training apprentices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
