The shift will be Monday-Thursday (6 AM-4:30 PM) or Monday-Friday (7 AM-3:30 PM)

Training will be  a minimum of 90 days (M-Fri- 7AM-4)

Job Description

  1. Operate various production equipment, including auto and manual metal stamping presses, foot shear, brake press, drills, arbor press work, honing machines, manual mills and manual lathes to produce the required number of correct parts in a timely manner according to process documentation.  Multiple installation of assemblies, (thread inserts, pins, plugs, valves, etc.) and test.  This can include operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously.
  2. Correctly setup jobs in assigned equipment in a timely manner.
  3. Perform 1st piece, in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges and CMM equipment according to process documentation.
  4. Perform data collection and communication tasks in Jobboss and other applications.
  5. Perform operator maintenance.(preventative)
  6. Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues. 
  7. Perform de-burr or rework of work in-process.
  8. Make recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes.
  9. Maintain workstation to 5S standards.
  10. Perform all work according to PAC safety standards.

Comply with all PAC policy and procedures.

Qualifications

  1. 1 year minimum of successful essential duty related experience; including operation of manual production machinery, metal stamping, presswork, assembly, hand tools.
  2. Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  3. High school diploma or equivalent.
  4. Blueprint reading skills.
  5. Basic Windows and MS Office skills.
  6. Ability to perform basic math functions.
  7. Eligibility to work with sensitive controlled data and materials according to ITARs policy and practice.
