POSITION SUMMARY

This position will function as a key part of the office administration support, providing assistance to the management team as well as other CU*Answers staff members as directed by the VP of Administration.

The Administrative Assistant will be assigned to the Administration team within CU*Answers and will be responsible for duties based on the department(s) as well as backup responsibilities for other employees throughout the company. These duties may include but will not be limited to: human resources and accounting support, typing, copying, data entry, filing, collating/binding, answering the phone, mailings, meeting coordination and setup, client interaction and hospitality. All duties and tasks will be assigned/approved by the VP of Administration.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Work as a team to provide a pleasant and unique environment for clients, visitors and staff in the office including hospitality.

Provide assistance and support as requested by CU*Answers Officers and the Management Team; primarily working with Administration, Human Resources and Accounting.

Work with direct supervisor on all primary responsibilities.

Coordinate with the VP of Administration the production and distribution of materials for internal and external use.

Work with the facilities team to provide backup for general office maintenance and delivery responsibilities.

Maintain and present a positive atmosphere and attitude as a member of the CU*Answers team.

Complete all tasks as assigned by management.

Complete all other duties as assigned by management.JOB QUALIFICATIONS

High School graduate or equivalent is required.

One to three years administrative experience is required.

Experience and aptitude using Microsoft application software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.

Superior typing, telephone and basic clerical skills required.

Excellent organizational skills; ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to compose single correspondence or other materials as directed.

Thoroughness, excellent attention to detail; ability to take initiative and work independently.

Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential data.

Ability to maintain and present a positive and happy attitude.

Requires valid drivers license and clean driving record.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

CUAnswers operates in a professional office building setting. Some job assignments at CUAnswers are primarily conducted within the office building(s) while others have moderate to extensive travel responsibilities as described in the Job Functions and/or Job Qualifications section(s) above. CU*Answers is committed to working with its employees to reasonably accommodate them with the physical aspects of the position.

Travel: This position will require employee to travel in the Grand Rapids areas on a weekly basis to pick up food and supplies for catering events. The position requires mobiles to be on feet for extended periods of time, could be in excess of 3-4 hours.
