Summary of Position:
Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, MI prepares artists and designers to have impact through practice. Responsibilities for a KCAD adjunct faculty member include syllabus and class preparation, instruction during scheduled course time, providing reasonable availability to students for consultation and assistance with respect to assigned course(s), and evaluation of student performance. The Photography Program of KCAD of FSU challenges students to express ideas, investigate conditions and circumstances, and communicate both specifically and effectively with lens-based imagery. A course of study emphasizing the history, technique, production and critique of photography leads to a wide variety of careers in photography. The program is seeking adjunct faculty to teach KCPH 110 Introduction to Photography for Non-Majors and KCPH 240 Lighting for Photography for the Spring 2024 semester which begins in January. Courses are to be taught in person on KCAD's campus in Grand Rapids, MI. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment.
