Description
We are hiring a Materials Management Communications Summer Intern to learn the the world of inventory management through the creation of animated training videos, managing an internal website as well as researching and writing process documents.
What You Will Be Doing:
Working with Animaker, Adobe Captivate and KnowBe4 software programs to create trainings. Consulting with Material personnel to document processes used in inventory management.
Your Future Team: Based at the Grand Rapids Business Center of Steelcase, and answering directly to the Director of Materials for North America. This team works with people at Steelcase facilities throughout the world.
Who You Are: Required Skills and Competencies
Attending a full time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program A Junior pursuing a degree focused in Digital Communications, Communications, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, or other relevant business majors with some creative experiencePreferred Skills and Competencies
Basic proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office Creative experience inside and/or outside the classroom Demonstrated creative problem solving and proactive learning Proficiency in a foreign language, especially Spanish a plus Experience using statistical tools and concepts (e.g., EXCEL, Tableau, Smartsheet, etc...) Experience working in a team-based environment Strong analytical skills Strong technical documentation and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate clearly Strong interpersonal and communication skills Reliable transportation, many of our sites do not have public transportation available
