Lockheed Martin Sr Staff Mechanical Design Engineer / TMAP / Dallas, Tx in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description:

You will be the AUR Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for our team responsible for designing, building, and demonstrating a boosted, hypersonic missile and launch enclosure for a series of experimental flights within a 2-year timeframe. Our team is driven to push the boundaries of innovation in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What You Will Be Doing

As the AUR IPT Lead, you will be responsible for spearheading a collaborative team effort to deliver a cutting-edge hypersonic missile system, while representing Lockheed Martin in multiple IPTs and interacting with customers and contractors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the AUR IPT in the design, build, and demonstration of a boosted, hypersonic missile and launch enclosure

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including customers and contractors, to drive project success

• Developing and executing project plans, including scheduling, production planning, and operations

• Managing Earned Value Management systems in a development environment

• Providing support for global supply chain and production planning efforts

• Traveling for engineering reviews and flight test support

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.

Ability and willingness to travel.

Desired Skills:

Current DoD Secret Clearance

Proven leadership ability

Previous experience with development design and fabrication, integration and test, and Earned Value Management in a development environment is desired

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
