Lockheed Martin Quality Engineer Sr - Grand Prairie, TX in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description: You will be the Quality Engineer Senior for the Precision Fires team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the producibility and sustainability of our products throughout their lifecycles, mitigating risks associated with Diminished Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) processes and requirements.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Quality Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and recording DMSMS data to help mitigate risk to product sustainment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Subcontracting, Program Management, suppliers, and customers to ensure quality standards are implemented and met throughout the process.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Performing scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product validations at suppliers

-Providing internal and supplier support for root cause -and corrective/preventive actions

-Participating in supplier failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities as required

-Conducting on-going surveillance of supplier conformance to Lockheed Martin requirement documents and providing written weekly reports

-Providing technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters

-Ensuring supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

-STEM Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education

-Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance

-Knowledgeable of AS9100 standard and implementation of Quality Management System

-Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and test of manufactured products (electronic assemblies)

-Experience conducting root cause analysis and corrective action planning

-Understanding of Configuration Management and control processes

-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

-Ability to travel (up to 25%)

Desired Skills:

-STEM bachelors degree or higher preferred.

-Diminished Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) processes and requirements knowledge

-Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)

-Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification or ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

-Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex

-Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality experience as well as experience with developing and reviewing Quality Standards, methods, work instructional and procedures for inspection

-An understanding of the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) SAP

-Experience with control and disposition of nonconforming material

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
