Responsible for taking on a leadership role in financial decision-making that affects operations of AAR Aircraft Component Services – Grand Prairie operations with $80M revenue and providing strategic financial input to management. While keenly overseeing the overall accounting process, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to maintain and improve the financial health of the company. AAR is looking for a Candidate with strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze and report business unit performance on a monthly and quarterly basis, focusing on critical business drivers.
Month end close process including Full BS reconciliation, Trending TB
Full financial statement presentation: P&L, Balance Sheet, CF, RE
Preparation of Forecasts and annual Budgets
Inventory management & Controls - Analyze inventory levels to ensure optimal financial performance
Liaison with cross-company accounting and finance departments to support key finance metric calculations such as revenue, profitability, inventory and warranty costs
Lead both the short and long-range financial planning processes, including capital planning
Collaborate with operations leaders to build an insightful and strategic long-term plan and AOP that achieves the business goals
Actively lead the monthly financial forecasting process to build the lines of business strategy to ensure that financial objectives are met.
Provide insightful recaps and analysis and present findings to leadership to guide future strategic decisions for the business
Oversee & manage General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Support forecasting and annual budgeting efforts
Assist with internal/external audit requests.
Maintain frequent communication with and provide guidance and support to AAR leadership.
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance financial and operational performance.
Build partnerships and strong rapport with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Work on problems of diverse scope with a thorough analysis of data and industry insight.
Assist and/or lead Ad hoc requests.
Oversee a Team .

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with AARs policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing
work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or twelve years proven related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. will accept a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA or Bachelor of Science degree (BS) from a four-year college or university
7 years of related experience
CPA a plus but not required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced Pivot table skills.
Infor/Lawson, PBCS & DOMO experience preferred
