ur client, a leader in metal fabrication, is seeking a Maintenance Technician - General 4 to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician , you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting Production Teams . The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with industrial maintenance, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance , which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician - General 4

Location: Grand Prairie Texas

Pay Range: $31.25 - $43.11 per hour

Requested Pay Rate: $28.45 per hour

What’s the Job?

  • Troubleshoot and Repair: Perform work involving troubleshooting and repair on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial electrical systems.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance on production equipment, including Metal Fabrication machines, ovens, wash tanks, and powder paint booths.

  • Technical Analysis: Read technical manuals, blueprints, control logic diagrams, and schematics to understand and repair complex equipment.

  • Equipment Calibration: Adjust and calibrate machines and tools according to specifications.

  • Collaborative Projects: Assist in the assembly, dismantling, and rigging of machinery.

What’s Needed?

  • Education: Associate’s degree in a related field plus 3 years of experience, or 5 years of industrial maintenance work experience.

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years in an industrial maintenance environment with strong emphasis on 480V / 3-phase electrical controls.

  • Specialized Training: Electrical qualifications to work in control panels.

  • Knowledge: Proficiency in shop math, blueprint and schematic reading, PLC, control logic, and welding concepts.

  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical/electrical tool use, and intermediate computer skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, reach, grasp, push/pull heavy materials, and perform coordinated movements of hands and arms.

  • Ability to stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb as required by job duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate tools and equipment common to mechanical, plumbing, welding, and electrical trades.

  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, and feedback to determine corrective actions.

  • Install, connect, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and tools as per specifications and checklists.

  • Maintain clean and safe work areas
