Lockheed Martin Contracts Management Manager / Lvl 5 / Grand Prairie, TX in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description: This leadership position is to support the Precision Fires Line of Business at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control located in Grand Prairie, Texas. Specifically, the role will support the Precision Fires Munitions team and take on other various roles and assignments.

The candidate will:

- Lead a team of Contracts professionals to support the ramp in production and development scope associated with the Legacy GMLRS and Extended Range GMLRS programs.

- Create effective relations with internal and external customers to affect favorable outcomes and secure win-win solutions.

- Lead cross-functional LM teams to negotiate contracts. Implement business strategies for growth and provide creative solutions to overcome challenges.

- Lead and train the Contracts team across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies, services, and development activities. Lead and manage cradle to grave Contract operations, from capture through proposal, negotiations, contract award, implementation, closeouts, and all phases of contract administration.

- Provide sound business advice, guidance, and coordinate with other functions including program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations / capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfillment of related obligations.

- Coordinate solutions, advise Contracts and Program leadership of contractual rights, obligations, risks, and customer concerns related to company performance.

- Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions.

- Lead and manage audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance.

- Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.

- Develop and lead training of Contracts team on contracts policies and procedures.

The position will require onsite work >50% of the time and occasional travel is required.

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience with US Government and/or International customers and contracts

- Experience with contract negotiations

- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills

- Knowledge and documented application of acquisition regulations (FAR, DFAR)

- Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.

Desired Skills:

- Experience negotiating and managing complex development and production contracts

- Proven ability to develop trusted partnerships with internal and external customers

- Cost Type, Fixed Price, and Incentive Fee Contracting Type knowledge

- Extensive negotiation experience and knowledge of Precision Fires Munitions portfolio

- Experience in strategy development for new captures

- Ability to engage in routine and unique problems / issues to help develop solutions for multi-million-dollar complex contracts

- Ability to coordinate DCAA and DCMA activities including audits, financing payments, etc.

- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

- Experience working autonomously with general direction

- Experience handling multiple, widely-varied assignments

- Extremely strong analytical and critical thinking skills

- Experience problem solving, including identifying issues and developing solutions

- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
