Hilltop Community Resources Care Supervisor - Life Adjustment Program in Grand Junction, Colorado

This position is responsible for the direct frontline supervision of assigned resident support specialists and management of all resident situations that may arise, with support from immediate supervisor. This position also acts as a resident support specialist and participates in direct care duties as needed.

This role will have a regular schedule of Tuesday - Saturday from 2:45pm - 11:15pm, in addition to assigned department meetings.

The starting wage range for this position is $19.50-$20.47 depending on qualifications. Accepting applications until this position is filled.

Minimum 18 years of age required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Shift Supervision and Coordination duties:

Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior that align with the values of the Life Adjustment Program (LAP), including Service 1, how we treat the residents, and Service 2, how we treat each other. Service 1 and Service 2 is demonstrated by setting boundaries, being predictable, consistent, kind, and transparent. Conducts oneself as a leader by taking ownership of the program, quality of care, commitment to the betterment and growth of the Life Adjustment Program by offering solutions, assisting with process development, promoting communication with others, supporting communication from staff to management, prioritizing tasks, actively participating in problem resolution, creating opportunities to support the growth in subordinate staff by enlisting their input, and identifying strengths and weaknesses in subordinate staff, and identifying and bringing forth to their immediate supervisor any staff behaviors that need to be addressed. Oversees and directs all resident care and behavior management while on shift, using appropriate resources for resolution. Supports staff to meet the highest quality of care by monitoring resident's hygiene to ensure staff are providing the highest quality of care as identified in the individual resident's care plan. Monitors apartment conditions and reports inconsistencies in service provision to immediate supervisor. Troubleshoots situations that may arise and utilizes appropriate resources when necessary. Works with direct management to maintain adequate staffing based on residents, work, and activity loads in collaboration with fellow supervisors. Monitors and processes staff timesheets for accuracy and overtime usage. Assists in training staff in all aspects of resident care and shift operations. Documents routine general feedback to assigned staff members on a scheduled basis. Provides input into assigned staff's formal performance evaluations. Verifies applicable documentation is completed accurately and within the designated time frame and in accordance with the individual resident's care plan. May be required to perform any of their subordinate's duties.

Resident Support Specialist duties:

Providing general oversight of the safety and well-being of the LAP residents. Conducting safety and well-being checks on LAP residents per care plan. Caring for resident needs including conducting bed changes, cleaning kitchen and bathroom, doing dishes, cleaning wheel chairs and walkers, doing laundry, restocking supplies in apartments, per orming general cleaning including sweeping, mopping, etc. Maintaining the Community Room including cleaning and restocking supplies as needed.
