The Customer Service Project Manager III role for the Cell Biology Business Unit must be passionate about supporting customers in the fast-paced Commercial Use markets! Are you interested in Project Management of our global Commercial Supply framework and continuous improvement of procedures related to customer engagement? We are looking to find a candidate who is motivated by working in a cross-functional matrix environment.
Location: Onsite Carlsbad, CA or Grand Island, NY
A day in the life
Coordination across all aspects of the Commercial Partnerships functional workstream inquiry to quote, helping to drive timely progress for each project.
Owning relationships and communications with key operational partners at relevant global sites such as Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Customer Care.
Coordinate with Commercial, Product Management, and other BU CSPM teams to facilitate collection of customer needs, intended use, and pricing for initial quotes, side letters, and supply agreement termsheets.
Lead regular internal status updates to ensure that all partners are fully informed of the status of orders and development projects.
Solicit support from the appropriate Thermo Fisher resources to help troubleshoot, raise, and resolve risks jeopardizing order delivery.
Keys to success
Education
B.S./B.A. in the Biological Sciences or Chemistry required
M.S. degree in Biological Sciences or Chemistry preferred
Experience
3+ years of industry technical experience
2+ years of project experience participating in cross-functional project teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated ability in customer-facing role.
Must be a good teammate, a problem solver, intellectually curious, results oriented, and have an ability to anticipate customer needs throughout partnership development.
Have experience leading and aligning project teams and have excellent communication/customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and/or in a group setting, with minimal direction.
Tried experience and familiarity with:
Project Management tools
Manufacturing systems (E1, Oracle Cloud)
Working within a highly matrixed organization including functional roles in Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $68,200.00–$102,250.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
