Reports to Plant Director

The primary objective of the position is to drive LMPS Lean processes in order to optimize the plant's performance and competitiveness. The position is also to promote the Lean strategy in his/her organization and carry out the organizational change to achieve financial objectives

Job Description

Key job responsibilities:

• Train and mentor lean concepts and tools to anyone in the organization, from shop floor to senior managers

• Ability to translate lean (business) concepts and tools from Operations to other business functions (Finance, HR, Marketing, …)

• Assist Plant Director with developing and leading an effective Daily Management System

• Work collaboratively with Lean global team to ensuresustainable, data driven reporting, and alignment of local activities

• Lead value stream mapping exercises to determine and record business improvement areas

• Identify and track manufacturing cost reductions & waste and provide ROI justifications for change

• Optimize workflow and introduce cost-effective automation for productivity and safety advantages

• Lead 5s program and work with shop floor to improve and sustain the program

• Plan and lead necessary Kaizen problem solving events

• Navigate through project challenges with cross-functional teams

Requirements :

• Minimum ofabachelor’sdegreerequired with a preference in Engineering/Lean

Experience:

• Strongly preferred 5 years of management or Lean experience

• Experience running kaizen events (VSM, Standard Work/5S, 3P, TPI, SMED, Kanban Pull / Material Flow) and implementing change on the shop floor
