Position Overview
Infinity is looking for a highly motivated Space Operations Lead to join our team to provide 24/7/365 satellite operations support to the Space Development Agency (SDA) Tranche 1 Transport Layer (T1TL) Program. This Space Operations Lead position is located at SDA Satellite Operations Center (SOC) facility in Grand Forks, ND. Responsibilities include leading satellite operations support of the T1TL Program which includes 42 Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) communication satellites. Operations support tasks include use of Navy Research Lab (NRL) tools for spacecraft planning, navigation, telemetry, tracking, and control.
Primary Responsibilities
The Space Operations Lead is responsible for planning, scheduling, and execution to support real-time satellite operations. Responsibilities include:
Provide mission operations support to a constellation of satellites
Monitor health and status of each spacecraft in the constellation and perform short term telemetry trending
Work with systems and software engineers to conduct and support anomaly review board investigations as necessary
Make modifications to existing operations procedures to incorporate lessons learned from in-flight performance
Support system maintenance activities such as procedure updates and software updates
Work with a diverse group of engineers to debug on-orbit and ground issues
Track space vehicle configuration, including both hardware and software
Collaborate with mission planners to enable manual and automated mission planning during different phases of operations
Support constellation-level operations, including shift work
Prioritize individual and team tasks and take the lead on resolving issues
Coordinate operations with teams located in multiple sites
Minimum Qualifications
Desire to train and certify as a Space Operator to successfully execute satellite operations support tasks
Experience in planning, organizing, and successfully executing tasks
Experience managing/leading operations personnel
Excellent leadership and team-building abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to collaborate with external partners to determine the root cause of spacecraft and ground system anomalies
Ability to make difficult decisions in high pressure environments
Willingness and ability to support a 24/7 environment with shift work
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience conducting on-orbit mission operations and resolving satellite and ground system anomalies
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software systems
Experience with at least one spacecraft subsystem (ADCS, TT&C, Comms, EPS, Thermal, FSW)
Experience in satellite ground system maintenance
Education/Experience
BS in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. Four years of space systems/satellite operations experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Clearance Requirement
Active Secret security clearance
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
Primarily office-based, with a standard workweek schedule. Could include shift work outside of normal work hours if the need to backfill Space Operator position occurs.
Some travel may be required to client locations (to include training)

Shift Schedule
The Space Operations Lead position supports the SDA Operations Center 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, primarily on a standard workweek schedule.
