McLaren Health Care Supervisor Corporate Supply Chain Management System Processing - McLaren Careers in Grand Blanc, Michigan

Position Summary:

Provides daily oversight of the Supply Chain Management team responsible for purchase order processing. Identifies and implements operational improvement initiatives for the processing of purchase orders, and purchase order confirmations

.

Ensures efficient and cost-effective processes for acquisition of equipment and supplies used throughout the corporation.

Identifies supply chain operational improvement opportunities and works with corporate and subsidiary staff to facilitate implementation.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

:

1.

Plans and organizes the operation of the Corporate Supply Chain Management central order processing center.

2.

Works cooperatively with MHC management in developing and implementing purchase order cycle cost saving initiatives.

3.

Develops and monitors Standard Operating Procedures designed to reduce the cost of processing purchase orders for supplies, equipment and services.

4.

Supervises team process related to invoice discrepancy resolution.

5.

Responsible for hiring, training, evaluation and necessary discipline and discharge of employees in assigned corporate supply chain central order processing center; reviews recommendations of and provides guidance and counsel to Corporate Supply Chain leadership regarding employee relations matters.

6.

Ensures that Corporate and Subsidiary Supply Chain Management staff accurately reports to requesting department on product, equipment and service purchases, usage, price increases, vendor back orders, and related matters.

7.

Leads the quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities for the team.

Develops and measures scorecard designed to ensure quality improvement opportunities, goals setting, collection and evaluation of data, and quality action plans are achieved within functional area of responsibility.

8.

Supports, advises, promotes and advocates for staff; provides opportunities for professional and technical growth; evaluates staff performance; determines appropriate staffing levels, makes recommendations on salary adjustments, promotions and dismissals.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate degree in a business or science field, and

  • 2 years work experience in supply chain, order processing, customer service, business management or related field

OR

  • High school diploma

  • 6 years work experience in supply chain, order processing, customer service, business management or related field

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or science filed

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in related field.

  • Healthcare Industry or Supply Chain Management experience

  • American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
