Job Title: Construction SuperintendentJob Description

We are seeking a General Contractor Superintendent for a 12-month project in Hamilton, NY. The project involves the construction of a $6M car dealership from the ground up. The ideal candidate should have experience with Procore, site work, and full scope construction. The role involves maintaining daily logs, creating two-week look-ahead schedules, and effectively communicating with subcontractors. The candidate will oversee subcontractors, as our client will self-perform the steel work while subcontracting the rest.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the construction of a $6M car dealership from the ground up.

  • Maintain daily logs and upload photos in Procore.

  • Create and manage two-week look-ahead schedules.

  • Communicate effectively with all subcontractors.

  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and conduct toolbox talks.

  • Lead and manage subcontractors on-site.

  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

  • Utilize computer applications for project management.

  • Report to the project management team with updates and progress.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Procore.

  • Knowledge of site work and full scope construction.

  • Ability to maintain daily logs and create look-ahead schedules.

  • Effective communication skills with subcontractors.

  • Experience in leading and managing subcontractors.

  • Understanding of safety protocols and conducting toolbox talks.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

  • Proficiency in using computer applications for project management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 certification.

  • Quick learner and multitasker.

Work Environment

The role is based on-site at a commercial construction site, including a trailer and office setting. The company has been around since 1904 and has a smaller office with 4 project managers and 38 field members. The company is currently experiencing a high volume of work and is backlogged until almost 2025. Benefits include a 401K employee match, PTO, safety gear allowance, phone plan, physical therapy use, safety training, job training, and safety incentive bonuses. A gas card will also be provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
