Description

We are actively searching for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the non-profit sector, based in Gorham, Maine, United States. In the role of Accounting Manager/Supervisor, you will be entrusted with the management and oversight of Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable, and Billings.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Ensure the maintenance of precise customer credit records

• Handle and resolve customer inquiries effectively

• Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate actions when necessary

• Supervise Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations

• Manage billing functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Oversee the operations of Medicaid and Medicare

• Coordinate with cost centers for effective financial management

• Lead a team of 6, promoting productivity and efficiency

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems for various accounting function

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least 2 years of detail-oriented experience in a lead or supervisor role.

• Proven knowledge and experience in managing all accounting functions, including but not limited to, general ledger, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial.

• Proficiency in various accounting software systems is required.

• Previous experience with billing functions, including generating, sending, and tracking invoices is necessary.

• Prior work experience in the non-profit industry is desirable.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills are essential.

• Candidates must have a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation.

• The ability to improve and maintain accounting procedures and policies is required.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills are expected.
