Raytheon has an immediate need for a Senior Manager within our Electronic Warfare Product Line in Goleta, CA to lead the Emerging Products Business Unit. This role manages a team of Supply Chain and Operations program managers in a development factory environment. This is a key role leading multiple Operations and Supply Chain Integrated Product Teams to ensure successful execution of a portfolio of programs in the electronic warfare domain. Successful candidate will drive the overall management and participation in all phases of program development from capture and proposals thru development, execution, and close-out. Manages the overall coordination of recurring and non-recurring manufacturing resources and supply chain efforts to support program requirements, lead Supply Chain and Operations through IPDS Gate processes and developing Manufacturing Plans, CAM responsibility while supporting EVMS (Earned Value Management Systems) reporting requirements, primary interface across all Supply Chain and Operations value streams, lead Supply Chain and Operations role for implementing engineering change orders, presenting reports to the Customer, Sr. Directors and VP level representing his/her IPT team and performance.

This position is an onsite role.

What You Will Do

  • Accountable for all Supply Chain and Operations team cost, schedule, and quality

  • Managing the coordination and execution of program schedules with Global Supply Chain Management, Subcontracts, Engineering, and other functional areas.

  • Support Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations strategy and utilize CORE best practices.

  • Lead the effort to develop and implement cost reduction initiatives for both recurring efforts and new business opportunities.

  • Coordinate Supply Chain and Operations bids for new development and production proposals.

  • Generate Supply Chain and production plans, make/where plans, and write manufacturing and supply chain sections of technical proposals.

  • Establish key elements of strategic and tactical Supply Chain and Operation plans.

  • Interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service.

  • Define clear material and operational schedules, priorities & goals for each Strategic Make Center

  • Coordinate & develop Supply Chain and Operations requirements for all gate reviews & execute proposed strategies from early gate reviews for effective implementation in future production.

  • Develop and lead Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions, labor requirements and basis of estimates that match the price to win (PTW) strategies.

  • Drive execution on $130M of annual material sales.

    Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of ten (10) years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, team building, change management and team leadership experience and able to work with minimum direct supervision.

  • Ability to influence development of project objectives and goals.

  • Strong understanding of Defense Manufacturing processes and technologies

  • RF System integration and test

  • Strong project management and manufacturing process

  • Ability to develop strong financial business acumen.

  • Experience leading teams in cost reduction initiatives and manufacturing cycle time reduction.

  • Required Education: Bachelor of Arts or Sciences, preferred in Business Management, Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related technical field and or equivalent professional experience.

  • Manufacturing plans and associated documentation.

  • Experience working development or transition to production programs.

  • Ability to collaborate daily with a cross functional team in a robust matrix environment.

  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment that includes multiple working organizations, experience building strong cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with Transition-to- Production (TTP)

  • Must be able to proactively identify and execute opportunities for process and yield improvement, and supportive of business initiatives including Six Sigma and Lean

  • Experience using IPDS (Integrated Product Development System) processes, create and manage a complex IMS using Microsoft Project and understanding of MRP principles.

  • Demonstrates initiative, persistence and creativity in problem solving.

  • Must understand configuration management and engineering change processes.

  • Control Account Management experience needed.

  • Competence with MS Office, specifically MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with SAP/PRISM and MRP shop floor systems.

The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
