Overview Tecolote is seeking a candidate to support data analytics and visualization, integrating cost estimating, earned value, and schedule performance data in support of SSC MCPNT programs. A successful candidate will straddle the roles of Data Engineer and Data Scientist, performing ad hoc efforts requiring integration, manipulation, exploration, mining, modeling, analysis, visualization, and presentation of data. You will generate insights via descriptive and predictive analytics and data science techniques that enable data-driven decisions, thereby improving space acquisitions and business operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain forecasting and estimating models
• Develop and maintain data pipelines
• Develop algorithms for data analysis
• Communicate with various levels of Government leadership
• Perform analysis for U.S. government acquisition and OandS programs
• Identify cost estimating relationship and develop cost models

Skills Required

• Proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication, presentation, and visualization skills
• Interest and ability to work in a dynamic work environment
• Ability to perform ad-hoc research independently, summarize results in a written report, and present findings to stakeholders
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required
• Desired Skills and Experience
  • General familiarity with IT, Cloud, and querying SQL databases
  • Department of Defense (DoD) experience
  • Cost estimating experience
• Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000/yr, DOE

Education

• Bachelors degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
