Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist located in Goleta, California. This role is crucial in our finance department, where you will be responsible for handling accounts payable tasks, including general ledger management and bank reconciliations. Responsibilities:

• Handle all accounts payable duties, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and processed

• Collaborate closely with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes

• Perform bank reconciliations regularly to maintain accurate financial records

• Learn and apply general ledger management and reconciliation tasks

• Handle any inquiries related to accounts payable and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner

• Assist with other financial tasks as required by the team

• Maintain regular communication with team members and managers to ensure all financial objectives are met

• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial compliance guidelines at all times

• Stay updated on industry trends, changes in regulations, and new accounting practices that might affect the company's financial operations. Requirements

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable tasks is required.

• Knowledge and experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations.

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures is essential.

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field is preferable.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation is beneficial.

• Experience with Sage 100 a huge plus.
