Description/Job Summary

Repairs vehicles/equipment/machinery by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Must be prepared to travel if required.

• Drive service vehicle (lube truck OR service truck) to job sites

• Crawls under or climbs in or on vehicles or equipment for maintenance and repair inspections.

• Repairs, removes, and replaces moving parts and other components of vehicles, equipment, or machinery.

• Disassembles, repairs, removes, and replaces parts of engines, transmissions, drive assemblies, brakes, and clutches of vehicles, equipment, or machinery.

• Tunes adjusts, and regulates equipment engines, valves, pumps, carburetors, and other mechanical components with variable setting.

• Lubricates and services vehicles, equipment, or machinery and maintains an accurate record of such service.

• Requests repair parts and lubrication supplies as needed.

• Helps workers of other crafts when not engaged in lubrication, service, maintenance and repair work.

• When not performing the above mentioned essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as desinated by supervisor.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Certificate from college or technical school; or twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have valid driver's license, good driving record required. May require certification for certain types of equipment repairs.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The employee in this job may be required to purchase his/her own tools of the trade.
