This role will focus on architecting and enhancing the platform’s capabilities, ensuring seamless coordination across devices and systems, and delivering innovative, scalable solutions. Long Description

At Resideo Grid Services, we empower utilities, partners, and customers to achieve energy efficiency, savings, and grid reliability through intelligent software and connected devices. As a Senior Product Manager – Energy Ecosystem, you will focus on the technical architecture of our energy demand response and virtual power plant solutions, ensuring a seamless and scalable ecosystem that integrates a diverse range of connected devices.

This role centers on the technical strategy and coordination of devices such as thermostats, water heaters, batteries, and EVs, while ensuring the platform aligns with Resideo Grid Services' broader product vision and technical requirements. You will work closely with engineering teams, energy scientists, salespeople, and other product managers to design and deliver an ecosystem that meets customer needs, supports market demands, and sets the standard for reliability and innovation.

Your priority will be to coordinate and optimize the technical capabilities of partner technologies to deliver a cohesive and high-performing ecosystem. By fostering alignment across teams and managing the technical roadmap, you will ensure our solutions are positioned for long-term success.

Job Duties

  • Ecosystem Architecture: Define and manage the technical architecture of the Resideo Grid Services energy ecosystem, ensuring all devices and systems work cohesively to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

  • Platform Coordination: Lead the integration of diverse technologies (e.g., thermostats, water heaters, batteries, and EVs), ensuring they meet technical and customer requirements while aligning with the broader platform strategy.

  • Roadmap Management: Develop and maintain a disciplined roadmap for the ecosystem’s technical features, making clear decisions on priorities, trade-offs, and future needs.

  • Collaboration Across Teams: Partner closely with engineering, energy science, product, and sales teams to coordinate development efforts and ensure alignment with customer requirements and strategic goals.

  • Technical Expertise: Serve as the team’s expert on the technical capabilities and future potential of partner technologies, guiding decisions that enhance the ecosystem’s overall performance.

  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Leverage analytics and performance data to inform product development, assess ecosystem performance, and identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Customer Journey Focus: Ensure technical solutions enhance the end-to-end customer experience, prioritizing usability, reliability, and seamless integration.

  • Scalability: Architect solutions that can scale across customer segments and geographies, positioning the platform for long-term growth and adaptability.

  • Industry Engagement: Collaborate with standards organizations and industry groups to ensure our ecosystem stays at the forefront of innovation and interoperability.

You Must Have

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with significant focus on software and services product development.

  • 5+ years of experience leading technical projects in energy, IoT, or SaaS platforms.

  • Proven ability to architect and manage ecosystems that integrate multiple technologies or devices.

  • Strong track record of developing and managing technical roadmaps with disciplined decision-making.

  • Demonstrated expertise in aligning product strategy with technical requirements and customer needs.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and software lifecycle practices.
